I’m usually skeptical of new products

As one of the world's leading CrossFit athletes and a qualified nutritionist, Kristin Holte was never going to add something to her routine simply because it was new. She wanted to feel a difference. When she started using Unbroken during her competitive career, she says she did, particularly in her recovery between demanding training sessions.

A nutritionist and an athlete

At the highest level of CrossFit, training places extraordinary demands on the body.

For Kristin, recovery was therefore an essential part of the training process. But her background in nutrition also meant she approached new products with a critical eye.

“As a nutritionist, I’m usually skeptical of new products.”

Unbroken caught her attention because it was different. But ultimately, what mattered wasn't the concept. It was how she felt when she used it.

“Unbroken genuinely made a difference.”

Feeling the difference in recovery

During her competitive CrossFit career, Kristin trained at a level where recovering from one session often meant preparing for another.

She says Unbroken became a key part of that routine.

“I could clearly feel how it improved my recovery, with much less muscle soreness and quicker recovery between sessions.”

That ability to recover between sessions was particularly relevant to the rhythm of elite CrossFit, where strength, conditioning and technical work can all feature within the same training day.

For Kristin, Unbroken wasn't replacing the fundamentals of good nutrition. It became an addition to the recovery strategy she already took seriously.

Three times a day

Kristin didn't reserve Unbroken for one particular moment after exercise. During her competitive career, she built it into her day.

“When I was competing, I took it three times a day.”

Her routine was simple:

First thing in the morning → After the first training session → After the second session or in the evening

That meant Unbroken followed the demands of her training day, supporting recovery between sessions as well as later in the day.

When recovery is part of training

Kristin's experience highlights something that can easily be overlooked: for serious athletes, recovery isn't separate from training.

When sessions come day after day, and sometimes more than once a day, being able to prepare for the next one matters.

That was where Unbroken earned its place in Kristin's routine.

“It’s a fantastic addition to any serious training routine for enhanced performance and recovery.”

And coming from someone who describes herself as naturally skeptical of new products, the fact that Unbroken remained part of her competitive routine says something in itself.

Train. Recover. Go again.

Skeptical at first. Part of the routine after. Ready for what’s next.
