At professional level, the smallest details can matter. For goalkeeper Cecilia Rán Rúnarsdóttir, training, nutrition and recovery are all part of being ready to perform. Unbroken has become one of those details, helping her feel recovered, less sore and more energetic as she moves from one training session to the next.
Always looking for that little bit more
Being in top shape doesn't mean Cecilia stops looking for ways to improve.
Quite the opposite. When training is already at a professional level, she sees value in the small things that can help her prepare, recover and be ready to perform again.
“Even though I’m in top shape, I can always improve. I can recover faster. I can be better.”
That is where the idea of the 1% difference comes in. It's not about one dramatic intervention. It's about the routines repeated every day around the training itself.
For Cecilia, Unbroken has become one of those routines.
Feeling the difference after training
One of the biggest differences Cecilia associates with Unbroken is how she feels after practice.
“With Unbroken I feel like I recover faster after practices.”
She also says she feels less sore and more energetic when taking it consistently.
That becomes particularly relevant on demanding training days, when finishing one session doesn't necessarily mean the work is over.
Sometimes the next session is only a few hours away.
Recover. Shower. Get ready again.
Cecilia takes Unbroken immediately after practice.
Her explanation of why is perhaps the best description of how recovery fits into the reality of her professional training schedule:
“That’s why I take it straight after practices so I can recover while I shower and I can get ready for the next session.”
There is no long gap between performance and recovery. One finishes and the other begins.
It's a routine that fits particularly well with the Unbroken philosophy that recovery doesn't have to wait.
Morning. Training. Evening.
Unbroken isn't only a post-training drink for Cecilia. She uses it throughout her day.
“I always take Unbroken in the morning, after practices and then in the evenings.”
On days with two training sessions, she takes it four times: in the morning, after each practice and again in the evening.
That means Unbroken follows the rhythm of her training day rather than being reserved for one specific moment.
Morning → Practice → Unbroken → Practice → Unbroken → Evening
For an athlete training at this frequency, consistency is part of the strategy.
Part of her evening routine too
Cecilia also highlights something important about taking Unbroken later in the day.
“I can take Unbroken in the evening. It doesn’t contain caffeine.”
That allows her to incorporate it into her evening routine without adding a stimulant.
And although the protein in Unbroken comes from salmon, Cecilia is quick to address the obvious question.
“It’s only salmon protein, but it doesn’t taste like salmon. It tastes like citrus.”
For something she uses several times throughout a demanding day, that practicality matters.
The small things add up
Cecilia's experience is ultimately about consistency.
Professional athletes already train hard. At that level, improvement can come from paying attention to everything surrounding the training too: how you prepare, how you recover and how ready you are when it's time to perform again.
For Cecilia, Unbroken has become one of those small things she chooses to do consistently.
“I can always improve. I can recover faster. I can be better.”
One session finished. Recovery starts. Then it's time to go again.
