Unbroken becomes Lidl-Trek’s recovery partner

Unbroken is proud to become the Official Real Time Recovery Partner of Lidl-Trek, bringing our approach to recovery to one of the world’s leading professional cycling teams.

A new partnership at the highest level of cycling

In June 2025, Unbroken officially joined Lidl-Trek as a sponsor and recovery partner.

The partnership brings together two organizations with a shared focus on innovation, performance and the constant search for small improvements.

For Lidl-Trek, recovery is a critical part of competing across one of the most demanding calendars in professional sport. Riders train and race throughout the season, while Grand Tours require them to perform and recover day after day for three weeks.

This is where Real Time Recovery fits naturally.

RECOVER. BE READY. GO AGAIN.

From discovery to partnership

The relationship began with Andy Schleck, Tour de France winner and Deputy General Manager of Lidl-Trek, who discovered Unbroken and began using it himself.

Always looking for the next marginal gain, Andy introduced Unbroken to the team's performance organization for further evaluation.

Unbroken subsequently became part of Lidl-Trek's recovery strategy, giving riders a light and convenient source of marine amino acids and peptides that can fit around the demands of training and racing.

Fueling champions with Real Time Recovery

Lidl-Trek was already having an extraordinary 2025 season when the partnership was officially announced, including six stage victories and the Maglia Ciclamino at the Giro d’Italia.

Behind performances at this level is a relentless focus on the details, from training and equipment to nutrition and recovery.

Unbroken had already been used by riders within the team. Mattias Skjelmose began using it during the 2024 Vuelta a España and continued to incorporate it into his routine.

“My recovery has improved with Unbroken, and I feel better on the bike day to day.” - Mattias Skjelmose, Lidl-Trek

For Unbroken, the partnership represented an opportunity to bring Real Time Recovery into one of the most demanding environments in professional sport.

Real Time Recovery meets the WorldTour

The partnership officially debuted at the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia Women, with the Unbroken logo appearing on Lidl-Trek's race kit for the first time.

For a brand that began with elite Nordic CrossFit athletes in 2019, joining one of the world's leading professional cycling teams represented another important step in the Unbroken journey.

Unbroken Chairman Thordur Kolbeinsson said:

“Lidl-Trek’s innovation in performance equipment reflects the same ambition that drives Unbroken: helping athletes push further with smarter recovery and better muscle health.”

Proud to be part of Lidl-Trek

The partnership is about more than having the Unbroken logo on a jersey. It gives us the opportunity to work alongside athletes and performance professionals operating at the highest level of endurance sport and to continue learning how recovery nutrition fits into the realities of training and racing.

From the finish line to the team bus and preparation for another day on the bike, recovery is part of the performance cycle.

That is Real Time Recovery.

Ready for what’s next.
